Catch basins and storm drains can make for difficult repair jobs. EZ Street cold asphalt’s flexible nature makes working in these tight areas easier. This asphalt patch repair was performed on Ilkantie in Nokia, Finland on October, 27 2011 at 8:30 am. It was a cloudy and rather cold morning of 5 °C, typically Finnish autumn weather.
22.67 kg bags of EZ Street cold asphalt were used to fill in the two square meter area surrounding the storm drain. The asphalt was applied to a depth of roughly 8cm. The crew making the repair used the EZ Street product in the past for pothole repairs. For this asphalt repair, shovels were used to apply the product in 4 cm lifts. A round plate compactor was used for final compaction.
